The Nike Air Max 1 was the centerpiece of Air Max Day 2022, which took place on September 15, 2022. In addition to the three region-exclusives that were released for the fictitious March 26th holiday, the Swoosh prepared for the silhouette’s 35th anniversary with many more styles.
Recently, a Nike Air Max 1 “Light Madder Root” colorway of Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design surfaced as part of what appears to be a larger collection. Similar to the “Skunk”-appropriate style of the past, an off-white and brown sole unit is featured in the upcoming pair. These Nike Air Max shoes feature a lime-colored bubble that deviates from the rest of the shoe’s color scheme. The “Rattan” shade of the mesh used in the toe box and collar contrasts sharply with the suede that wraps around the midfoot. The Air Max 1’s legacy will continue to grow for the next 35 years with the addition of each new colorway.
