Several Ken Griffey Jr./Sr. Air Force 1s, including the “Spider-Man Catch” VaporMax Plus and the Jr/Sr Air Force 1, has been released in 2021 to celebrate the MLB’s first father/son team. As part of a larger commemoration of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1’s 25th anniversary this year, all of this is included. It’s time for the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Wheat” to transition from summer to fall now that a few OG colorways have reached shops.
There is a Wheat edition of “Flax” for its 20th anniversary this year, which has a shaggier suede top in an even more intense brown shade than the “Flax” version that was served out in 2016. While the white midsoles and gum rubber outsoles are still there, the shoe has undergone a number of significant modifications to set it apart from the previous iteration. The laces and strap clasp, for example, are white, as are the logos on the strap, heel, and Swoosh outlines. The eyelets and Swoosh bellies, as well as the internal Air supports, have a golden-yellow tinge, too.
