When it comes to Air Jordan 1 Mids and Lows, Jordan Brand often relies on its own archives for inspiration. While most of these are based on the Air Jordan 1, the brand has released sneakers with elephant print, cement speckle, and other patterns in addition to those from 1985. The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black Grape” now resembles the Air Jordan 5, with a fan-favorite color scheme above it.
As an alternative to the original, the 1990 release of the “Black Grape” Air Jordan 5 could have been deemed an OG at the time. As a result, the three primary colors of black, grape, and emerald are given a more even distribution in this design by the duo. This shoe features a color scheme of black, green, and grape, with purple overlays and collars and teal-hued toes, heels, and Swooshes and Swooshes. Purple laces, linings, and tongue branding are all included in the design, with white and teal outsoles completing the look.
Despite the lack of an official release date for the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black Grapel,” we’ve heard rumors that the shoe will arrive this Fall. In the meantime, enjoy these official photographs, which we’ll have as soon as we get them.
