The Nike Dunk, like many other basketball-specific sneakers from a bygone era, has made more of an impact off the court than on it. For those who are familiar with basketball’s history, the sneaker is and always will be a symbol for this sport and its players. Nike often commemorates aspects of the game, big or small, on the silhouette in honor of that biography. A good example of this is the new Nike Dunk High “I Got Next”, which honors the pickup game. It is available now.
Despite the lateral ankle letter mark, the pair is not very overt in its grassroots inspiration, with iridescent blue hues working with patent leathers not typically assigned to blacktops or local gymnasium courts. The laces, liners, and midsoles are all white on the medial side, while the icy-translucent outsoles are back in blue on the lateral side.
Despite the fact that the specific inspiration is still unknown, the brand is expected to make an official statement about it soon. Take a look at the Nike Dunk High “I Got Next” in the images below until more information becomes available.
