Nike is slowly releasing previously sought-after LeBron PEs that were once only available to a select few. When Nike released the LeBron 9 “Watch the Throne” recently, it seemed to be relying on these cheat-code drops to revive the LeBron business, which has slowed considerably over the last half-decade due to trends. Only a few LeBron fanatics with deep pockets back in the day might feel the gut-punch from seeing their “investments” shrink to GR status, but for most of us, it will be a long time before we see this happen.
Another ultra-limited PE, the LeBron James x Nike LeBron 9 Low “LeBronold Palmer” has been officially photographed. LeBron James’ favorite cool-down drink is a half-and-half mix of lemonade and iced tea, inspired by golf great Arnold Palmer, which first appeared in the summer of 2012. There were only two official releases of this tropical-themed colorway, which featured vibrant pops of yellow, teal, and pink (the LeBron 12 Low and LeBron 18 Low).
The LeBron 9 Low “LeBronold Palmer” will be released in 2022, as previously reported. Just like LeBron himself wore them at All-Star Weekend, it’s only a matter of time before we find out the release date and MSRP for these shoes. You can check out the official images in the gallery above until we have more information.
