Even though Travis Scott’s Nike Air Trainers and the rest of his Nike sneakers have been put on hold, the Swoosh has plenty of general releases lined up to keep the momentum going. Using Nike’s post-collab strategy of an all-out release barrage is a smart way to capitalize on the hype. Nike Air Trainer 1 SP “Honeydew” may have to suffice for the time being, as Scott’s drops have been put on hold.
It’s the second colorway in a series of modified drops that feature numerous new additions, including plastic clips replacing Velcro straps, excessive pulls, and too much reflective 3M detailing. Everywhere you look, the shape of the landscape has been altered in some way. Even the composition of the materials has changed from leather to ripstop and synthetic. A semi-futuristic look has been achieved with this pair’s color scheme, which features two-tone greys with blues and light green hues.
More information about the Nike Air Trainer 1 SP “Honeydew” is expected to be released in the coming weeks and months.
