Charles Barkley may go down in basketball history as one of the most important players because of his long career in the media and his induction into the Hall of Fame. Barkley is a household name thanks to his on- and off-court accomplishments, but don’t forget about his influence on the sneaker culture as well.
Nike Air Max2 CB 94 was a generational sneaker for Barkley’s early 1990s signature shoe brand. The CB ’94 was a member of Nike’s Air Max2 range, which re-tuned the Air unit for enhanced performance, and the “Godzilla” feet pattern at the forefoot of the outsole was notable. Original hues were only made in a few cases, and none of them were able to accurately capture the Suns’ original color scheme (they typically had just a touch of purple). To get the look of a limited-edition sneaker, the heel of this one has the number “34” embroidered on it.
At $160, the Nike Barkley is expected to sell out quickly if past releases are any indicator. They will be on sale on February 1st, 2022. Check out the official photos here.
