Next Nature’s colorways are a stark departure from previous Nike releases such as “Space Hippie,” which were dominated by bright and bold color schemes. Although the circular logo has been added, these products are virtually indistinguishable from the non-recycled originals.
In the future, Nike may gradually phase out these more harmful products as they expand their Next to Nature product line. The Nike Air Max 97 is one of the most recent models to join the ranks, dressed in the classic “Triple Black” color scheme. Except for the midsole’s see-through window, the shoe’s entire upper is covered in a dark neutral; even the logo hits, such as the embroidered Swooshes and circular design logo, are nearly undetectable against their coordinating backgrounds.
