With Patta, Concept, NFTs from Tinker, and a new Air Max Motif, the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1 has seen a steady increase in interest. All of this culminates this month with Nike’s celebration of all things Air Max in March, beginning with Wabi-Sabi and Parisian-inspired releases for women. To commemorate the sneaker with a bubble’ and its global reach, the Nike Air Max 1 Blueprint celebrates its global reach.
Premium leather overlays in university blue and white, as well as a dark royal at the eye-stays and textured lateral Check, are used in the design of the shoe. It’s a gridded blueprint finish on the medial side of the shoe that mimics the longitude and latitude lines depicted at the heel’s debossed globe motif, with a more direct approach. The insoles feature a similar design. This year’s Air Max Day is marked only by the lace tips (3.26) with the Air Max Day insignia.
