Nike and Kasina are working together once again on a new sneaker. Nike and Kasina have collaborated on the Air Max 1 for the 25th anniversary of the Korean sneaker boutique and the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1.
The first look at the Kasina Air Max 1’s upcoming colorways has arrived. In addition to the teal pony hair quarter panels, the toe box and tongue are made of burgundy leather, while the Swoosh is made of off-white leather and the ankle collar is covered in grey suede. On top of that, there is a flower on the toe, Kasina branding on the tongue tags and wooden lace dubraes, an off-white midsole, and an icy translucent outsole.
Even the shoe’s hangtag bears the shape of a mandarin duck, which is attached to a silver ring on the heel. A pair of carved wood mandarin ducks, known as kireogi in Korean, is a traditional wedding gift. When it comes to this album, Kasina focuses on the theme of “better together” by incorporating kireogi and marriage.
The Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 “Better Together” is now available for viewing. Expect two colorways to be released by Kasina in June.
