Stussy and Nike have teamed up every year to dress up iconic sneakers like the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2, the Air Huarache, and the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 Kukini. For the first time in 2022, the Air Force 1 Mid will be honored by Nike and Converse, rather than as a cult classic.
The collaboration, like their previous efforts, errs on the side of simplicity. The streetwear label’s usual warm-toned colorway is replaced by a monochromatic black-on-white version, thanks to the tumbled leather construction. As far as the midsole goes, Nike’s swooshes and “AIR” are still there; however, the strap, tongue label, and toe box are all emblazoned with Stussy branding.
