The Swoosh’s roster of updated silhouettes tied to the ’00s ‘Team Tones’ collection features a consistent slate of proposals featuring inverted color blocking. Nike, the Beaverton, Oregon-based company, has returned to the Nike Dunk Low’s widely popular team-ready constructions of decades past, and the shoe’s popularity has skyrocketed.
The latest Dunk Low features a green and yellow color scheme synonymous with Brazil, but the tones are reversed from its 2001 “Brazil” release. The tones are blocked across the upper’s smooth leather panels. Pine Green is used for the upper and sock liner, while Varsity Maize is used for the Swoosh, laces, and 3D overlays. The heel and tongue tabs that read “NIKE” are a matching white set against bright yellow accents, complementing the white midsole and green tread below.
