Nike has long celebrated the humble mushroom, albeit less frequently than the company’s nods to fruits. The Blazer Mid has also been given a fungi-inspired makeover, making its details a little more literal. With this newly surfaced Nike Air Force 1 “Mushroom”, many of these, as well as the colorway, will be back in 2022.
The overlays on the Air Force 1 have a subtle Ombré finish, similar to the court classic. Starting from the top, the leathers are a deep brown that becomes increasingly lighter as it ages. That doesn’t mean that the color doesn’t change, but it does allow each panel to stand out against the three fixtures that don’t (like the midsole). The Swoosh, heel tab and the many mushrooms that grow nearby are all colored in black.
Here’s your first look at these in all their glory. Nike.com and select retailers are expected to begin selling sizes within the next few months.
