It’s no secret that Adidas has planned a few collaborations to celebrate the Forum Low silhouette in 2021, but the brand has just teased one of the most unexpected partners yet: M&M’s.
Mars, Inc.’s latest collection features a rainbow of colors, similar to LEGO’s reimaginings of the UltraBOOST and ZX pairs. The M&M’s x Adidas Forum ’84 Low, on the other hand, is based on chocolate candy rather than blocks of colored plastic. While the majority of the shoe’s white components are present, the lockdown straps near the collar and a large portion of the heel and midsole are highlighted in the aforementioned complementary colors. An m&m’s box hang tab is stylized for the branded labels on the tongue, and both the shoes’ lateral heels and the candy’s packaging bear the sweet’s name. With outsoles covered in a dark brown colorway reminiscent of the chocolate in the candies, the low-top Adidas Forum completes this year’s candy-themed collection.
