In 2020, IRAK and the Three Stripes got back together after not working together for a decade. This was done to honor their legendary efforts in the late 2000s. After two years apart, they finally reunited on the much-loved Samba. The two’s next release, a set of Supernova Cushion 7s, wouldn’t be too far off, coming just a few months after the indoor-made predecessor.
The next IRAK x Adidas Supernova Cushion 7 is largely dressed in neutrals, placing it in the color scheme between the Sambas and ZX 8000s from the same imprint. All the whites—the midsole, the leather accents, the mesh inserts—stand out against the blacks—the neighboring stripes, the patent leather eye stays, the textile collar, and the textured toe cap. Additional pops of color come from the orange lining, the green bottom heel, and the yellow “IRAK” marking.
