Nike removed the synthetic uppers and aggressive traction from the Air Max 1 Golf for 2023, bringing it closer in design to the original. Nike is working on some standard colorways, like “Sport Red,” as well as some basic black and white options, and they also have some limited editions ready for the year’s biggest sporting events.
This is the first look at the 2023 Masters Tournament exclusive Air Max 1 Golf Always Fresh, designed specifically for Augusta, Georgia’s historic course. In a nod to the state’s official fruit, Nike uses peach skin-colored suede overlays on the upper, with bone-colored suede on the toe box and ankle collar. Peach-themed logos are on the insole and at the quarter’s base, and fruit and vegetable stickers are on the heel. The transparent outsole reveals “Always Fresh,” complementing the special tongue labels and NIKE branding on the heel.
Nike will likely drop this Air Max 1 Golf and the rest of the 2023 Masters Pack in late March or early April, coinciding with the start of the 2023 Masters Tournament on April 6 and ending on April 9.
