Air Jordan 9s, which have long been overshadowed by other models in the 23rd’s signature shoe line, will have a chance to shine in 2022 when several retro colorways appear. Optional color schemes include black, university red, particle grey, and white.
The upcoming Jordans, despite some drawing comparisons to 2012’s “Johnny Kilroy” offering, have their own distinct style. While the uppers are mostly “Particle Grey” in color, the base, tongue, and inner lining are a stark “Black” contrast. As depicted in mock-ups, the upper portion of the tongue and the spine of the sneakers are both adorned with vibrant ruby-colored branding. The iconic outsole of the Air Jordan 9 Particle Grey could also be given a makeover.
Although no official Nike SNKRS release date has been announced, the sneakers are expected to hit stores in the spring of 2022. While you wait, take a look at these two up close and personal.
