Nike China’s official presser for the Year Of The Tiger collection did not mention this newly revealed Air Jordan 36, but it seems safe to assume that it is a part of the annual Chinese New Year collection. The tiger stripes on the rubber outsole and under the mesh weave overlay of this Air Jordan 36 make it stand out from the rest of the collection.
The release of the Air Jordan 36 “Year Of The Tiger”, which was announced earlier this fall, has been very gradual (likely due to ongoing shipping issues). As of yet, just three colors of the “GR” have been released, with athlete-specific variants accessible through the SNKRS App in more areas. Air Jordan 36 “Sunset” could be released on December 30th alongside the Air Jordan 1 Low “Year Of The Tiger” and “Year Of The Tiger” Air Jordan 6 Low “Sunset” colorways.
The Year of the Tiger isn’t yet confirmed for these Jordan 36s, so it’s possible they might be an in-line release. Watch this space for an official announcement in the near future, and in the meanwhile, have a look at the 2022 Jordan release dates.
