Jordan Brand has shown a knack for honoring its own history, be it borrowed colorways or the modern line’s obsession with past influence. In fact, yesterday’s release of Air Jordan 3 “Cardinal” was a nod to the original 1991 version and upcoming French Blue based on 1997. The Air Jordan 1 Low “True Blue” will follow suit by having a similar scheme seen on 1988 Ai Jordan 3 Low named after them both – how great is this!
The white, blue, and grey colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Low “True Blue” makes an unusual appearance with its elephant print at the heel that is darker than usual. The outsole has many popping Royal Blues to give it more shine while still being smooth on top for durability- these are all set against a dark Grey which transitions nicely into black Swooshes throughout except where they meet leather upper materials in the design of this classic sneaker.
A release date for this new Air Jordan 1 Low “True Blue” did not accompany the images below, but you should expect to see these land at select Swoosh stockists and likely on Nike.com soon — at this stage tipped for a Summer release. So grab a first look at the pair here below.
