Fans have been clamoring for the long-rumored “Yellow Toe” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 for years. The audience has been anticipating a public release in this color scheme since the F&F Shinedown pair first appeared on the Internet. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Taxi” is expected to appear this year, indicating that Jordan Brand has finally given in.
The Air Jordan 1 “Taxi” boasts traditional “Black Toe” color blocking similar to earlier Air Jordan 1 releases including the “Shattered Backboard.” The quarter panels are made of white leather, while the toe overlay, eyelets, Swoosh, and ankle collars are made of black leather. The toe box and rear overlays are made of taxi cab yellow leather. Although this shade of yellow is darker than fans had hoped for, beggars can’t be choosers.
