The Air Jordan 1 has seen some unusual iterations in the form of PEs and exclusives over the years. Everything from exotic materials to the entire color wheel appears to have been explored. Then there was this limited-edition Air Jordan 1 High OG “Iridescent” release for family and friends.
The tumbled leather upper has been given a color-changing finish, while the toe boxes and Swooshes have been given a sleek black suede treatment. When rotated in the light, hand-painted midsoles continue the chameleon look. In addition to the black-on-black tongue branding and debossed Wings motifs at the ankle, the special-edition design features a black rubber outsole.
We’re not holding our breath for a public release of these pairs, which were only given to Jordan Brand athletes and only produced a total of 80 pairs.
You can get a closer look at this extremely rare pair of Air today thanks to English Sole! If you’d like to take a closer look at the pair, you can do so below.
