Over the weekend, the person formerly known as “Kanye West” posted much content about Adidas. While the fate of the Adidas Yeezy brand is up in the air, we do know that an “MX Grey” colorway of the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 is currently being prepared for release in the fall of 2022.
The upcoming pair features a “mixed” arrangement reminiscent of those that have landed on the Yeezy Foam Runner and is, therefore, likely one of the colorways not approved by the ex-“Mr. West.” The monochromatic outfit doesn’t add any new hues to the Three Stripes-supported lineup, but the “random” application provides a welcome break from the two-tone looks that have recently dominated the Boost-cushioned silhouette.
The next iteration of Yeezys features minimal branding, with the signature stripes on the side panel forgoing the usual see-through effect. The upper and the ribbed midsole below it are black, which works well with the white Boost foam below. When taken as a whole, these factors only serve to bolster the already vast Yeezy empire, which is now in jeopardy of imploding. That said, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 MX Grey might be one of the last Yeezys produced by Adidas. As always, only time will tell.
